Childhood Heroes Ch 3

Jessie wakes up when the sun hits her eyes and looks next
to her and sighs.
‘See I dreamt the whole thing. It figures just my luck.’
April comes downstairs.
“Oh Jessie Leo said he’ll see you later. He said
he’ll see you by the studio. Raph called him and he had to leave.”
Jessie looks up and enters the kitchen to pour herself a
cup of coffee and stares out the window. April enters.
“Hey Jess what’s wrong are you ok?”
She sips her coffee and sighs.
“Yea I’m fine just letting my imagination run
wild like usual. Oh thanks for letting me stay here April. I seriously need to grow up and start acting like a woman instead
of a freaking child.”
April looks puzzled.
“Ok now you lost me. What are you talking about Jess?
Clue me in here I might be able to help you.”
She shakes her head.
“No I doubt you can. I had a dream last night and have
no idea where that came from.”
Casey looks.
“Ok what are you talking about? Do you think you dreamt
the whole thing of meeting Leo? Well sweetie you didn’t he’s real and so are his brothers believe me; April and
I have known them for so long. Those 4 are the best friends we can all ask for.”
She just sighs and continues drinking her coffee.
“If I tell you two promise you won’t laugh at
me please. When I tell you this you’ll see what I mean about growing up.”
They sit while they drink their coffee and listen.
“See last night Leo and I had some pizza and he helped
me put the dishes away. Then suddenly our lips met once but then we kissed for such a long time and I’m trying to figure
out if it really happened or was I dreaming again?”
“I mean he’s a huge mutant ninja turtle they
don’t really fall in love with human girls especially one that has admired him since I was like 8. I just think I dreamt
the whole thing up.”
Casey laughs.
“Umm Jessie you need to look back at the classics in
’89 and I think you’ll figure out the truth.”
Jessie just stares.
“See you laughed at me I must be losing my mind. What
am I going to do now? He’ll be by the studio later and probably with his brothers. Help me here.”
April looks.
“Whoa Jess calm down and listen to yourself. In the
classics Lotus was Leo’s girl and way older than him. If you don’t believe me ask him later when you see him and
don’t worry about his brothers they won’t say anything. They tend to fall for human girls for some reason.”
By the lair Leo wakes up and pours himself a cup of coffee
and sighs.
‘There I go again getting myself involved in a human
girl I must be losing my mind. What was I thinking? You’d think I’ll learn from my experience with Lotus but no
not me I just can’t help myself human girls are like a magnet. I can’t back away.’
Raph enters the kitchen.
“Yo Leo you still have lipstick on your mouth. I knew
that you would fall for Jessie. But couldn’t you take it slow. I mean start being friends and then into a relationship?”
Leo sighs.
“Yea I know…but I couldn’t help it. Raph
she’s so pretty and such a sweet woman. What am I going to do? Splinter finds out my shell is boiled.”
Raph looks.
“Umm bro dad has been gone for 6 years. Remember he
couldn’t survive our last encounter with the Shredder. You lost your cool and killed him right in front of his daughter.”
“Oh yea I forgot I’m sorry. But the new series
has him in it and we are 15 again.”
Mike also enters.
“Hey Leo you still have lip stick on your mouth. What
happened last night when you went to watch Jessie?”
“Umm we talked, ate pizza, and kissed. Then I fell
asleep with her in my arms. Raph called me this morning and I snuck away without disturbing her.”
“Oh ok so is she your girl or no?”
Leo sips his coffee and sighs.
“I’m not really sure. I’ll talk to her
later by the studio. She might think she dreamt the whole kissing thing.”
Don stares at
Leo.
“What is it with you and human girls? Do you ever learn?”
Leo glares.
“Wait a minute look who’s talking you fell in
love with April so don’t start with me. Excuse me if I’m attracted to human girls hello we are part human or have
you forgotten?”
“No I didn’t forget. My point is you just met
the girl and kissed her already. Don’t you think that was a little too fast?”
Leo looks up.
“Ok we only kissed it’s not like we did anything
else. What is your problem anyway are you wondering how far I got with my ex is that it?”
Don looks.
“No I can careless. Whatever Leo do what you want I’m
ought a here.”
Raph grabs him.
“What is your friggin problem anyway? Well Don what
is your damn problem are you jealous because he usually gets a girl and you can’t is that it?”
“No it’s not. I just don’t understand him
that’s all.”
Mike looks.
“Whoa back up. How can you not understand him he’s
our older brother have you hit your head or something?”
“No; I haven’t he’s the one who hit his
head. He forgets he’s a turtle and not a human. That’s my point.”
Raph glares.
“Oh really then I also forget I’m a turtle my
girl is also human. Your problem is you are afraid to get with a human girl unless you’re gay.”
Don attacks Raph and he blocks his Bo.
“For the millionth time I’m not gay dam nit.
Leo tell him I’m as straight as you 3 are.”
Leo laughs.
“Ok you two knock it off right now. Now you two are
acting stupid we’re brothers not enemies.”
“It’s not me acting stupid it’s Raph he
keeps on saying I’m into guys when I’m not.”
Leo glares and whacks them both upside their heads.
“Ok this is going to stop right now. #1 he already
has a girl and it’s Jana and you have Alyssa the end of this subject. You’re going to make me get sick none of
us are gay and never have been.”
Mike looks up
and stays silent while he reads his comic book.
